Role Outline

Green-tech is the UKs largest landscaping supplier, providing quality landscaping materials and wholesale garden supplies for landscaping contractors, architects, designers and landowners.

The role of construction sales advisor involves managing a portfolio of low or none spending construction accounts within our database. You will be responsible for building this database through; regular contact, looking for quotation opportunities, following these up and maximising opportunities from these accounts.

You will work with our two construction account managers to develop your knowledge and work with your sales manager to monitor progress and mentor you as you start to build relationships with customers.

You are expected to be highly proactive in your approach, be willing to learn, able to deal with problems and great at building relationships. There will be an expectation to understand BNG and how this can benefit the construction industry with the option also to attend trade shows and face to face visits.

As a secondary role to this, you will assist with the day to day running of our Flexible Lining side of the business, advising on pond liners, clay mat liners and ground reinforcement products directly to end users and new construction companies.

This is an entry level role, allowing for personal development and building a database of your own.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a construction account database
  • Proactively find constructions companies we do not currently deal with
  • Work closely with our specifier team on TreeParker projects
  • Work through Barbour ABI to qualify potential leads
  • Actively pursue BNG opportunities
  • Put yourself forward for trade shows and industry events
  • Have a positive working relationship with other departments
  • Ensure maximum profitability with regular price reviews
  • Look for training opportunities
  • Understand the company vision and strategic aims
  • Have a high level of customer focus
  • Share market feedback
  • Involve your SM or HOS in issues and complaints
  • Attending regular customer meetings
  • Ensuring accuracy on quotes and orders
  • Ensuring stock is checked thoroughly before processing orders
  • Work to agreed KPI’s
  • Build excellent customer relationships
  • Contribute to monthly sales catch ups
  • Ensure regular account contact
  • Ensure sales quotations are kept up to date
  • Follow process to log issues and complaints
  • Follow process on lost sales quotations
  • Work to our agreed sign off procedure
  • Keep SAP up to date
  • Arrive to work on time and be ready for work

Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills
